About ABC Utah
ABC Utah is a community of contractors, suppliers, and industry professionals working together to strengthen construction businesses, support their teams, and move our industry forward.
Who We Are
ABC Utah brings together the people who make our state’s construction industry work.
We’re the Utah chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, a national trade association founded in 1950. Locally, our job is simple: listen to our members, understand what they need, and connect them with the education, resources, relationships, and representation that help their businesses succeed.
Our members include contractors of every size, along with suppliers and professionals who support the industry. What connects us is a belief in opportunity, fair competition, safety, and doing business with integrity.

The Merit Shop Philosophy
We believe construction contracts should be awarded to the most qualified and responsible bidder—regardless of labor affiliation.
That means creating an environment where contractors can compete fairly, employees can grow based on their abilities, and clients can choose the team that offers the best combination of skill, safety, quality, and value.
It’s a straightforward idea, and it has guided ABC since seven contractors first came together in Baltimore in 1950.
